The Rotary Club of East Lake Sunrise would like to thank everyone who joined us last year.
What a huge turnout with approximately 250 gorgeous cars & trucks, fantastic exhibitors, sponsors, community support, volunteers and so many spectators, all helping to raise thousands for charity.

The Rotary Club of East Lake Sunrise is proud to donate a dedicated tow vehicle to our friends at East Lake Fire Rescue for their new Marine 57 airboat, the only rescue airboat in Pinellas County. Thank you ELFR for all that you do to keep us safe!

Business Leaders Connecting to Make a Difference
The Rotary Club of East Lake Sunrise was chartered in 2004 under the name of the Rotary Club of East Lake Woodlands, and its members are part of the international
organization of business and professional leaders working to provide
humanitarian service and community service. Rotary membership is by invitation of local clubs and represents a cross-section of the community's business and professional men and women. Rotary members dedicate their time, skills, expertise, and other resources toward improving human conditions. Rotarians
hold high ethical standards in business and professions, recognize the
worthiness of occupations, and strive to apply these ideals in their
personal, business, and community lives.
Rotary clubs meet weekly and are nonpolitical, nonreligious, and open to all cultures, races, and creeds. Membership in Rotary offers a number of benefits, including:
- Effecting change within the community
- Developing leadership skills
- Gaining an understanding of — and having an impact on — international humanitarian issues
- Developing relationships with community and business leaders
Although Rotary clubs develop autonomous service programs, all Rotarians
worldwide are united in a campaign for the global eradication of polio.
In the 1980s, Rotarians raised US$240 million to immunize the children
of the world; by 2008, Rotary's target date for
the certification of a polio-free world, the PolioPlus program
will have contributed US$500 million to this cause. In addition, Rotary
has provided an army of volunteers to promote and assist at national
immunization days in polio-endemic countries around the world.
The Rotary Foundation of
Rotary International is a not-for-profit corporation that promotes
world understanding through international humanitarian service programs
and educational and cultural exchanges. It is supported solely by voluntary contributions from Rotarians and others who share its vision of a better world. Since
1947, the Foundation has awarded more than US$1.1 billion in
humanitarian and educational grants, which are initiated and
administered by local Rotary clubs and districts.
Help eradicate polio
PolioPlus, the most ambitious program in Rotary's history, is the volunteer arm of the Global Polio Eradication Initiative. For more than 25 years, Rotary has led the private sector in the global effort to rid the world of this crippling disease. Today, PolioPlus and its role in the initiative is recognized worldwide as a model of public-private cooperation in pursuit of a humanitarian goal.
- To date, Rotary has contributed more than US$1 billion.
- Rotary’s leadership, beginning in 1985, inspired the World Health Assembly to pass a resolution to eradicate polio, which paved the way for the formation of the Global Polio Eradication Initiative in 1988.
- Thousands of Rotarians around the world have volunteered during National Immunization Days to immunize children.
- The PolioPlus program helps Rotary fund operational costs, such as transportation, vaccine delivery, social mobilization, and training of health workers, and support surveillance activities. Read more about what happens before, during, and after a National Immunization Day (NID).
- Rotarians work to encourage both donor and polio-affected governments to commit the political and financial resources needed to eradicate polio.
